Field Superintendent – Commercial Construction

Position Overview:

Hermes Construction is seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects from start to finish. This is a hands-on, field-based leadership role that requires strong job site management, subcontractor coordination, and scheduling expertise to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and up to quality standards. This role reports directly to an owner of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily on-site construction operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality.
Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and site deliveries.
Enforce OSHA and company safety standards, ensuring compliance at all times.
Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions with project managers and stakeholders.
Interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction contracts to ensure accuracy in execution.
Conduct site inspections, quality control checks, and problem-solving as needed.
Maintain project timelines and work proactively to address potential delays.
Document and report daily activities, job progress, and any issues encountered.
Mentor and lead crews to maintain productivity and high standards of workmanship.

Required Experience & Skills:

Commercial construction experience is a must.
Multi-story construction experience is a must.
Scheduling skills are a must.
Estimating skills are a plus.
Ability to read and understand drawings and contracts is a must.
Experience managing on-site construction operations over $5,000,000 is a plus.
Pre-engineered metal building construction experience is a plus.
Design-build construction experience is a plus.
Excellent time-management skills, accountability, and trustworthiness are required.

Transportation Requirements:

Must have a reliable source of transportation for daily job site travel.
Travel to multiple job sites within Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati will be required.
Mileage reimbursement will be provided for job-related travel.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience.
Benefits package, including health insurance, 401K, and profit sharing.
